The Sydney Film Festival has announced Fiona Cameron as the festival's new General Manager.

The appointment comes at a time of significant repositioning and growth for SFF with the inaugural Official Competition and Industry Program, during the 2008 festival. The competition is supported by Events NSW, with the $60K cash prize provided by SFF's principal sponsor, Hunter Hall Investment Management.

SFF Executive Director, Clare Stewart, said: "I welcome the contribution a colleague of Fiona's standing will make to our much loved event at this vital stage in our development."
