Call for artistic proposals now being considered for inclusion in 'NO PEOPLE', an exhibit of photomedia as a part of the Head On Photo Festival.

It has been suggested that the only thing we take photographs of is ourselves – that no matter what we point the camera at, the only thing we can hope to derive from the resulting image is that value or form or quality or idea that is relevant to us."No People" is a group show of photomedia exploring the capacity of the camera to absorb our anthropomorphic concern by taking as subject anything but an actual person with the express intent of conveying human value.

In one hundred years, will we still be human?

The exhibition shows 8 manipulated photographies that travel between present time (Insiders)
and a future time, remote or altermative (Outsiders).

The 24th edition of the Mar del Plata International Film Festival has passed, and the awards were given out. With the joy of a record-breaking attendance at the theaters, the Festival's director, Jose Martinez Suarez, thanked his staff and confirmed this year's slogan: the movies were the stars.

The International Second Hand Short Film Festival will continue its philosophy, "Eliminated Films Are NOT BAD Films", by collecting the eliminated Short Films, make them to be analyzed by the Jury; including directors, actors, academicians, etc…, and show them on big screens. The only criteria to take part in the festival with a film is to have attended a national/international film festival from 2007 up to now and not found eligible in the pre-qualification.

Applications are now open for both the Berlinale Talent Campus and Berlinale Co-Production Market.

The 7th Berlinale Co-Production Market takes place February 14-16, 2010.
The deadline for project submissions for the 7th Berlinale Co-Production Market will be October 29, 2009.

Flickerfest will screen in the summer season under the stars at the Bondi Pavilion before travelling to an extended 23 venues around the country including capital centres, key regional areas and for the first time Albury [WA], Nambour [QLD], Canowindra [NSW] and Dungog [NSW].
